Alex's 6th birthday!

Alex had a great Army birthday today at home. It was so much fun! He is one happy boy! We had our own little boot camp. I made a tank cake, which was so much fun to do.

A compressed recap!!

So it has been a very long time since I blogged. So here goes with the last months update!
We spent our entire Christmas break in the bay area which was so much fun, other than Kyle getting the stomach flu, Sam bronchitis, Kaylee and Alex getting colds.
We celebrated Sam's Dad's birthday at Black angus.
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve. The kids enjoyed their new pj's!
The kids absolutely loved feeding the ducks. The ducks were not shy at all. They came right out of the water and chased us!!

Our Thanksgiving!

This year we were fortunate enough to have Sam's brother Shawn and his family down for Thanksgiving! I think it is safe to say we all had a fabulous time.
This year was a bit of a rite of passage for me. I finally cooked my own Turkey! I know crazy huh!? It turned out awesome! My sister Mindi was there for me for moral support as I tackled the bird. One of the guts bag emptied so we got to see the liver, heart, etc. So much fun. We had a wonderful meal that Mindi and I made, did some crafts with the kids, played the wii, watched football, played a game in the street, and Sam did the dishes. What a trooper!
The next day Mindi, Hannah, and I hit the mall! I had never gone the day after Thanksgiving before. We went to 3 stores and it took over 2 hours because we spent and hour in the parking lot. We had fun though. Then we met up with the boys for lunch after they spent the morning at pump it up. After luch the guys took the kids to see bolt and the park until it was dark and Mindi and I and the little girls went to furniture stores. Then we all crashed. Saturday after lunch we said goodbye to our guests and went to the park.

After going to the midnight show of twilight and getting to bed at 3 I was up at 6:30 to go help out at Alex's Native American Day at school! It is quite the production. I was exhausted but happy to be there. It was freezing! I had no coat! The school put out 12 centers for the kids to participate at. It was 3 hours. Alex had a wonderful time.

Kyle's program It's a Zoo out there!

unfortunately my seat was on the wrong side. Kyle had a speaking part but some of the other kids blocked him so I didn't get a good video of it. It was quite the cute program.

We finally to the kids to our favorite restaurant Tahoe Joes

I guess Kindergarten can get pretty rough!

This is how I found Alex when I picked him up from school.

I found my necklace!!

Believe it or not, in the middle of the night last night I found my necklace I lost almost 2 months ago.

It was in a very strange place. It was in an empty pepto bismal box in the medicine cabinet.

Of course I found it a week after I bought a new one. Now I have 2, I guess i will have some back up next time I lose one!

Kaylee's Birthday

Kaylee's 3rd birthday was Sunday. We had a family party and then a party with all her little friends today. It was a princess tea party. It was so cute.

Notice Amy in the background everytime a kid hits the pinata. So funny!

Kaylee loved all her presents. After the party I had hours of entertinment for her. Thank you!

I did Kaylee's hair really cute on Sunday. I was pretty proud of it. I haven't ever done a braid like that!

Halloween

Alex was a soldier, Kyle was Darth Vadar, and Kaylee was Cinderella

Jogathon

Kyle and Alex ran and ran and ran. Kyle got a fasted boy medal with for 23 laps. Alex ran the most laps in his class too. Kindergarten didn't give out medals though.

We had a wonderful busy Halloween. I spent the whole day with the boys helping with the parties and the jogathon. Sam had Fri. off so it was great to able to do that.

Kaylee's Prayers

We have Kaylee say our family pray alot and she says the funniest thing. We go through the members of our family, Mommy, Daddy, Guy(Kyle), Guy 2(Alex), and me (kaylee). She will not call them by their names, it is so funny.

Kyle's straight A Report Card

I went to Kyle's parent teacher conference today. I have to admit I always get nervous. I really never have a good idea of how they are doing before our first conference. Kyle sailed through with flying colors. I always knew he was smart, but he is even smarter than I thought! :)
This was the first year he was given grades, which is another first for me.
I am thrilled he is a little smarty pants and his teacher wants him to be challenged, but it means extra work for me. I hope I can do it all! Thanks to Alaina I have a ton of chapter books to keep him busy for quite some time. I felt kind of lame because his teacher said he should only be reading chapter books, and I didn't have any at home. Lame MOMMY!
By the way, Thank you Kellie for watching Kaylee and Kyle!

My Monday Morning Scare!!

So, this morning I go upstairs to get Kyle up for school, just like every morning. I looked down the hall and saw Kaylee's door was open. I walked in and there was no Kaylee. True to form I panic, run downstairs, ask Sam if he has seen her, check my bed, but no Kaylee. At this point Sam is worried too. He hops out of the shower and starts looking. We are calling her name, no answer. Kyle now is getting nervous. We all run upstairs again for another look. Luckily Sam looked under her bed. There she was sound asleep under her bed, no clue we had been looking for her.

I love MONDAY MORNINGS!!

Alex

Alex

Alex is also doing great. He loves being a big brother. Everyday Alex, Kaylee and I walk (he rides is scooter) to pick up Kyle. It is a great reason to take a walk everyday. Fortunately the weather is warm enough we can do that. While we're walking Kaylee reaches out her arms for Alex to give her a hug. She really does love him. Right now he is very much into trains. He wanted a big Thomas Train track for Christmas. He also carries many of his trains in his back pack around the house. He also really loves Lightning McQueen and all the Cars stuff. He and Kyle both enjoy jumping on the trampoline. It is something they do everyday. Alex also loves tools and working with his dad on projects!

Kaylee

Kaylee is full of personality. She has just been so fun to have in our family. She is definitely entertaining. She is also so loving. She loves her brothers very much always following them around and wanting to be right in the mix of everything they do. She adores her dad. Everyday she will hear the chime from the front door when Sam comes home and she walks as fast as she can talking, (we don't know what she is saying yet) with her arms streched for her dad. Her favorite toys are her doll house, a big farm she can walk in, babies, and this toy that pops balls out. She has been a super happy baby. She is growing up so fast. She really just wants to do what everyone else does. Her all time favorite thing is her blankie. She has a few. She just loves fleece blanket with fringe. She carries them around all day and put them to her nose and smells them. Don't ask me why.

Kaylee's Dance Commercial on the CW!!!

Kaylee's recital FYI sam started recording really early so there is blackness for 20 seconds or so.
