What a Week

We had quite the busy week. Lots to do and we all took turns with colds. Except Sam of course. He never gets sick.
On Monday we almost bought a little puppy. A Shih Tzu. A friend at work was selling a litter. Sam brought home some pictures and we all got excited. Kaylee said she wants a white she can carry. The first thing she said to me was I want the white one, a Hunter no fight with my puppy. Hunter(dog we have been watching this month)is a great dog. I think she put the thought in our head to get one of our own. However, a day of talking it over and almost getting in the car to go pick one out, the kids pretty much blew the idea out of the water. Sam walked in from work and the volume in our house from the kids was insane. Suddenly, we realized we are not up for a puppy who is yapping all the time and competing with our yapping kids. Maybe later?
We also had parent teacher conferences. Both boys are doing great. I am so relieved they are such good students all on their own (unlike their father who barely graduated!!) Hopefully the kids just take after me! Sam is shaking his head at me this very moment. :)
Wednesday and Friday Kaylee and I volunteered in Alex's class. She is so cute in there. She attaches herself to Alex. They are very sweet to eachother. During story time they were sitting next to eachother on the rug, Alex's arm around Kaylee and her arm around him. That was a good mom moment! She is quite popular with class too. We walk in and everyone says Kaylee! She loves it!
Friday was also the 100 day of school. They had little parties. Very exciting.
Sam and I went out with some friends last night. A much needed break! We say Bride Wars which was really funny! The kids love having a babysitter. They have a parties when we're gone.
Today we all had some ice cream a Dewars. The kids had really never been, so that was fun. We took a tour during the summer but they didn't really get to sit and order. Kaylee didn't care what kind it was as long as it was pink! She also let Sam know that he should paint our house pink too!
Oh and since Christmas my kids are obsessed with Webkinz! It is a great motivator though!
Well that was quite a post!

Alex is also doing great. He loves being a big brother. Everyday Alex, Kaylee and I walk (he rides is scooter) to pick up Kyle. It is a great reason to take a walk everyday. Fortunately the weather is warm enough we can do that. While we're walking Kaylee reaches out her arms for Alex to give her a hug. She really does love him. Right now he is very much into trains. He wanted a big Thomas Train track for Christmas. He also carries many of his trains in his back pack around the house. He also really loves Lightning McQueen and all the Cars stuff. He and Kyle both enjoy jumping on the trampoline. It is something they do everyday. Alex also loves tools and working with his dad on projects!

Kaylee

Kaylee is full of personality. She has just been so fun to have in our family. She is definitely entertaining. She is also so loving. She loves her brothers very much always following them around and wanting to be right in the mix of everything they do. She adores her dad. Everyday she will hear the chime from the front door when Sam comes home and she walks as fast as she can talking, (we don't know what she is saying yet) with her arms streched for her dad. Her favorite toys are her doll house, a big farm she can walk in, babies, and this toy that pops balls out. She has been a super happy baby. She is growing up so fast. She really just wants to do what everyone else does. Her all time favorite thing is her blankie. She has a few. She just loves fleece blanket with fringe. She carries them around all day and put them to her nose and smells them. Don't ask me why.
