My bad luck streak continues

I lost my favorite necklace!! Most people might have noticed I wear the same necklace everyday. It had my kids names on it. Well, the one time I took it off to put on a different necklace for the 80's party, I lost it. It has vanished. :(
Alex felt so bad for me he made me a new one!! He got a chain and glued on paper circles with the kids names on them. Super sweet. I will take a picture soon!

Seriously!! A CT Scan??

So my poor little girl had a day full of injuries. To start out, we went to the park at 9:30 to meet some of Alex's friends. Shortly after arriving Kaylee ran into the the metal tables there with her face. Right in the nose and eye. She also fell back and hit her head. We get home to finish getting Alex ready for school. Kaylee and Alex went out back. Kaylee was playing on a little tikes slide. Alex decided to ride his bike into the slide and Kaylee flipped back and smacked her head again. I was pretty freaked out. She was white as a ghost. Sweat dripping off her face and her eyes kept going back in her head. So I rushed Alex to school and took Kaylee to the doctors to make sure she was ok. Diagnosis was a minor concussion and a CT Scan just to make sure. The scan came back negativ, thank goodness!! Except a sinus infection!! Exspensive way to find out you have a sinus infection. It was a very long day, but by 3 she started to come out of this groggy twilight she was in. But, to top it off as soon as she was feeling better she wanted to go upstairs adn play with her guys. Shortly after getting upstairs she ran into the door with her face. Yesterday was not her day. She is her happy little self today and hopefully accident free.
Here's a pic of my poor little baby!

Funny moments

So last week we had some pretty laughable moments.
I was first.
After I landed in Salt Lake City I decided to use the restroom since my flight had arrived early. After I went to the baggage claim. As I am waiting for my luggage I get a tap on my shoulder. Excuse me miss you might want to pull your shirt out in the back. Oh crap! I was wearing a long shirt/dress with leggings and had tucked my shirt into them. I could have died. But wait it got worse. As I am putting my luggage into the car, my sister said, "What is that on your teeth, it is black?" Apparently I had left over blueberry on my teeth. The poor guy probably didn't have the heart to tell me I also had black on my teeth. One of my most embarrassing moments!

On Sat. Sam was coaching his soccer games. I was gone still. Anyway, Kyle was on fire. He scored 5 goals. On one of his break aways Sam was getting pretty excited. As Kyle kicked to score a goal Sam did too (a power kick). His shoe went flying as well. The parents laughed and said, "Oh you're one of those parents!"

My special boy Alex started his homework while I was gone all by himself. Unfortunately he can't read the directions. I asked him to get another packet from his teacher. So yesterday after school I asked his teacher if he had anymore homework packets. He said he gave one to Alex. Then said, "I have to asked because I wasn't sure if it was true, did the dog really eat his homework?" My sweet son and his imagination. I had a feeling Alex might make up a little story.

When it Rains it Pours

So as soon as one bad thing happens I get hit with more. I have to vent right now.
1. Thursday was a busy day. It was back to school night and I was bringing a friend dinner. On the way to drop off dinner I get a ticket. My first one ever. I was pretty upset about that. So I pick up Kyle, drop off dinner, and pick up the babysitter, get home and go to back to school night. Going in the boys classes made me feel better.
2. Next morning I get a call my Grandma passed away. It was a hard day.
3. Then after we get home from church, we find our house had been egged. Our newly painted stucco house. We tried to wash it off, unfortunately the stucco comes off with it. Atleast we have paint to fix it. It is going to be a pain to paint again.
4. Kaylee pooped in her underwear. Not the mess I was in the mood to clean up.

Quite the weekend. I feel better venting though. I really hope the bad luck streak is over!! :(

Some Sad News

My Grandmother passed away this morning. She was such a special lady. I feel bad I didn't get to see her as often as I should have. She is finally back with my Grandpa after 20 years.

Kyle's notable quotable

Last night after back to school night I was talking to Kyle about what I saw in his classroom. They build a hamburger as they pass their 90 sec timed math tests. He was telling me how smart this one boy was, who was ahead of everyone. I asked if he was Chinese. He said yes. He went on to say, " Ya those Chinese people are so smart, they make toys for all their jobs! I mean everything is made in China!" I just thought that was so cute. He then started pointing out how all his toys say made in China. Then he said, "I did have a ruler once that said made in the USA!"

Notable Quotable

So, I am a little hesitant posting this but it is pretty funny. We had some friends over Last Sunday night. Kids were just having a grand ol' time. Kaylee found herself entertained by some beans (the kids earn beans). So we look over and she is stuffing her underwear with BEANS!! I was so embarassed!! I went over to her and told her that it is not okay to do. Her response to me was, "MY BEANS, MY BUTT, YES!! MY BEANS, MY BUTT YES!" We had a good laugh.

Alex is also doing great. He loves being a big brother. Everyday Alex, Kaylee and I walk (he rides is scooter) to pick up Kyle. It is a great reason to take a walk everyday. Fortunately the weather is warm enough we can do that. While we're walking Kaylee reaches out her arms for Alex to give her a hug. She really does love him. Right now he is very much into trains. He wanted a big Thomas Train track for Christmas. He also carries many of his trains in his back pack around the house. He also really loves Lightning McQueen and all the Cars stuff. He and Kyle both enjoy jumping on the trampoline. It is something they do everyday. Alex also loves tools and working with his dad on projects!

Kaylee

Kaylee is full of personality. She has just been so fun to have in our family. She is definitely entertaining. She is also so loving. She loves her brothers very much always following them around and wanting to be right in the mix of everything they do. She adores her dad. Everyday she will hear the chime from the front door when Sam comes home and she walks as fast as she can talking, (we don't know what she is saying yet) with her arms streched for her dad. Her favorite toys are her doll house, a big farm she can walk in, babies, and this toy that pops balls out. She has been a super happy baby. She is growing up so fast. She really just wants to do what everyone else does. Her all time favorite thing is her blankie. She has a few. She just loves fleece blanket with fringe. She carries them around all day and put them to her nose and smells them. Don't ask me why.
